That film was directed by Franco Zeferelli. The topic of Young Love. Young character of Brooke (15 years old) and her boyfriend 17 years old are fell in love.

Until her father tells them they can't see each other
til the end of the school year cause her grades are falling. David (Her boyfirend) desides to set a fire in front of her house.. and then rescue the family from the flames outside... saying that he was walking by and notices the fire... only the whole house burns down and David is put in JAIL.

Will they ever be together again????
